Our Flat Split Red Deer Antler Chew weighs 220g–260g and measures approximately 15cm or longer. The antler is split lengthways to expose more of the softer inner centre, making it easier to chew and more accessible than a full antler.

Each chew is carefully selected without sharp points and is suitable for puppies from 12 weeks of age, as well as larger dogs that prefer a flatter, easier-grip shape. Antlers are naturally shed, responsibly sourced and contain naturally occurring minerals, including calcium.

  • Choosing the Right Antler Chew Size

Selecting the correct antler size is important for a comfortable and safer chewing experience. Breed can provide a useful starting point, but your dog’s weight, mouth size, age and chewing strength should always guide the final choice.

Small chews may suit breeds such as Chihuahuas, Pomeranians, Yorkshire Terriers, Dachshunds and Pugs.

Medium chews may suit breeds such as Jack Russell Terriers, Cocker Spaniels and Cockapoos.

Large to SXL chews may suit Bulldogs, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Collies, Poodles, Basset Hounds, Labradors, Golden Retrievers, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Great Danes, St Bernards, Irish Wolfhounds and other large or powerful breeds.

Our antler sizes are determined by both weight and length. Because antlers are natural products, every piece varies in shape, colour and thickness. You can add a preference to your order, and our team will select the most suitable available antler for your dog.

As a general rule, choose an antler that is larger than your dog’s mouth and cannot be swallowed whole. When your dog falls between two sizes, selecting the larger option is usually the better choice. Always supervise chewing and remove the antler once it becomes small enough to swallow.

Our Antlers are naturally shed, collected in UK forests and have simply been cleaned (with no chemicals) and cut to various sizes/weights for dogs to chew on. Sharp points have been removed to make them safe. Antler satisfies a dog’s natural urge to chew, whilst also helping to strengthen and clean teeth. There is no odour from antler, and as your dog grinds down the antler over time, there is only very little mess.

Being a naturally grown , no two antlers are the same. Some are a harder dark brown color whilst others are a softer greyish/white. They also come in various shapes and sizes, keeping your dog interested for longer.

Antler Exchange Program 🐾🦴

Sustainable chewing: refresh your dog’s antlers with every subscription. ♻️🐶
When antlers get chewed down and become too small, they can turn into a choking hazard — especially for heavy chewers. ⚠️ Our Antler Exchange Program makes it easy to remove small, unsafe pieces from your home and replace them with fresh antlers in your next subscription shipment. 📦✨

What we accept:
Small, genuinely pre-chewed antler stubs that are now unsafe to chew (for example, pieces your dog can’t hold between their paws 🐾, pieces that could be swallowed whole 🚫, or ends worn down to a short stub around 2–5 cm 📏). Antlers must be clean and dry before sending. 🧼💨

What we don’t accept:
Half-chewed, barely used, or unchewed antlers 🙅♀️; larger pieces that are still safe to chew 🦌; or antlers that are wet, dirty, or contaminated 💧🧪. The exchange is for small/unsafe remnants only. ⚠️🦴

Who can use the exchange: 👤✅
Available to active antler subscribers with at least three previous subscription orders. 📦📦📦

How it works: 🔁
Collect your dog’s small, unsafe antler pieces 🦴, weigh the total amount you’d like to exchange ⚖️, and package them securely 📦🔒. Include your name and order number 🧾, then post them to us before your next subscription dispatch date 🗓️🚚. Return postage is not covered — customers are responsible for the cost of sending back antlers for exchange 💷📮. Returns received after your dispatch date will be applied to the following subscription shipment ⏭️📦.

Your replacement: 🎁
As a thank you for taking part in our Antler Exchange Program, we'll include an extra antler chew in your next subscription order. 🦴✨ Replacements are selected to match your usual subscription size and type, subject to availability. 🐶📦

This helps keep your dog safely supplied with fresh chews while supporting a more sustainable approach to antler chewing. ♻️🐾

Important note about returns: 🔎
For hygiene and safety reasons, returned antlers are not reused or resold 🚫♻️. All returned antler stubs are responsibly disposed of through appropriate waste management processes 🗑️✅ once received.

Supervision & care: 🐶👀
Always supervise your dog while chewing. Remove and exchange any piece that becomes too small or sharp ⚠️, provide fresh water 💧, and choose sizes appropriate for your dog’s breed and chewing style 🐕🦴.

Please remember to include your full name and subscription number inside the package so we can easily identify your return. 🧾🐾

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about our Split Red Deer Chew - Flat cut 220g-260g

It’s a Super XL, flat-cut, 100% natural split red deer antler chew. The antler is cut lengthways to expose the honeycombed marrow, creating a large, softer-style antler chew that’s easier for dogs to enjoy while still being long-lasting.
This Super XL split antler is ideal for medium, large and giant breeds who enjoy chewing but aren’t extreme “power chewers”. It’s a great option for dogs that find full antlers too hard or frustrating, but still need a substantial, satisfying chew.
Split antlers are cut open to reveal the tasty inner marrow, so dogs can access the centre straight away. This makes them kinder to teeth and jaws and easier to chew than whole antlers, though they will not usually last quite as long as a full, unsplit piece.
Yes, this chew is described as puppy friendly from 12 weeks of age, thanks to its softer, exposed centre and carefully smoothed edges. Always supervise young dogs while they chew and remove the antler if it becomes too small or if your puppy is trying to bite off large chunks.
Yes, the natural antler texture encourages dogs to gnaw and grind with their teeth, which helps reduce soft plaque and tartar build-up. Regular chewing supports stronger teeth, healthier gums and fresher breath as part of your dog’s overall dental care routine.
Red deer antler is a single-ingredient, grain-free chew that’s naturally low in fat and rich in minerals and protein, making it a popular choice for dogs with food sensitivities or on limited-ingredient diets. As always, introduce it gradually and monitor your dog.
The chew is naturally full of protein, minerals and calcium and has a typical analysis of around 39.6% crude protein with very low fat. This supports strong bones, teeth and muscles while giving your dog a highly satisfying, species-appropriate chew.
Each piece weighs approximately 220–260g and measures from around 15cm in length or more. Being a natural product, every antler is unique in shape and colour, but all are selected to give your dog a substantial, Super XL-sized chew.
Yes, the antlers are naturally shed red deer antlers collected in the UK. They are simply cleaned (without chemicals), cut to size and have any sharp points removed, making them a sustainable, low-waste and cruelty-free chew choice.
Always supervise your dog while they chew, ensure fresh water is available and remove the antler once it becomes small enough to swallow or shows cracks or sharp edges. Store it in a cool, dry place away from moisture and direct sunlight between chewing sessions.
